Liver Function Test (LFT) – Comprehensive Panel

Purpose:
A complete assessment of liver health, used to detect liver inflammation, infection, or damage due to alcohol, hepatitis, or medications.

Includes:

• Total Bilirubin (Direct & Indirect) – Measures bile pigment and liver clearance ability.
• SGOT (AST – Aspartate Aminotransferase) – Detects liver and heart cell injury.
• SGPT (ALT – Alanine Aminotransferase) – Sensitive marker for liver damage.
• Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) – Indicates blockage or bile duct disorders.
• Gamma GT (GGT) – Sensitive marker for alcohol-induced or drug-related liver stress.
• Total Protein – Measures total circulating proteins in blood.
• Albumin & Globulin Ratio (A/G Ratio) – Evaluates liver’s protein synthesis capacity.
