Kidney Function Test (KFT) – Comprehensive Panel

Purpose:
Evaluates overall kidney performance and helps in early detection of renal disorders, hypertension-related damage, or diabetic nephropathy.

Includes:

• Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN) – Measures waste nitrogen from protein metabolism.
• Serum Creatinine – Key indicator of kidney filtration efficiency.
• Uric Acid – Detects metabolic issues and kidney excretion capacity.
• Calcium & Phosphorus – Assesses bone-mineral balance affected by kidney function.
• Sodium (Na⁺), Potassium (K⁺), Chloride (Cl⁻) – Essential electrolytes to assess renal and hydration status.
• Estimated GFR (eGFR) – Calculates filtration rate to stage kidney disease.
